What are the requirements for the raw materials used in biomass pyrolysis to produce oil?

A good biomass pyrolysis oil production process should be less demanding regarding raw materials and not be too picky. Biomass is generally seasonal, and there are significant differences among different species; this is one of the main factors that currently limit the development of biomass energy. It would be much better if it could be utilized in all cases.
