Everyone, what type of water is used as the sealing water source for the pumps – raw water or deionized water?
It should be demineralized water; anyway, we use demineralized water here
Is the cost of demineralized water too high? Can plain water be used instead?
It is generally not advisable to use water once, as it contains too many impurities, which can hinder the long-term operation of the equipment and lead to scaling. To reduce operating costs, steam condensate can be used as the sealing water for pumps, with continuous recycling.
Desalinated water should be used; it has better quality. Raw water contains impurities, and if its hardness is high, scaling is likely to occur
It is mostly demineralized water; only one pump uses raw water – the pump for pumping the sludge at the bottom of the sedimentation tank. For all the other pumps, whether cold seal water or some other type of seal water is used, it is still demineralized water
It depends on the situation! It is usually demineralized water, and there are also many self-sealing types; actually, self-sealing systems for air are simpler! Including some new water pumps, or condensate pumps, and so on! It depends on the specific circumstances!
