What are the requirements for ammeters in pumps such as centrifugal pumps?

I suddenly noticed that in one company, many centrifugal pumps did not have on-site ammeters installed. Isn’t this a serious mistake and a potential hazard? Is it required to have on-site current meters for centrifugal pumps, just like outlet pressure meters? Otherwise, if backflow occurs and the pump appears to be emptying, the pump will end up running idle.

Some key pumps are equipped with ammeters, especially the high-power ones; it seems that smaller pumps don’t have them. Some of us have it, while others don’t. Some pump machines come with interlocks.
