Daqing Petrochemical Wins Contract for Yulin Methanol Project July 20, 2012, 07:56 China Petroleum News On July 15, the Machinery Factory of Daqing Petrochemical Company won the contract to supply 6 spiral baffle heat exchangers for a coal-to-methanol project with an annual capacity of 3.6 million tons, carried out by China Coal Group Shaanxi Yulin Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. This marks the successful entry of the heat exchanger products manufactured by this factory into the domestic coal chemical industry market. 　　In May this year, China Coal Group Shaanxi Yulin Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. invested in the construction of a project to produce 7.2 million tons per year of methanol from coal, as well as 2.4 million tons per year of olefins, in the Yuheng Coal Chemical Industry Zone in Yulin City. The project is constructed in two phases, with an installation capacity of 3.6 million tons per year for coal-to-methanol production, 1.2 million tons per year for MTO, and a facility for the comprehensive utilization of C4 to produce chemical products such as polyethylene and polypropylene. 　　Three well-known domestic manufacturers participated in the bidding for this equipment manufacturing project. To ensure winning the bid, Daqing Petrochemical Machinery Factory assigned dedicated personnel to handle the bidding process for the project; the technical staff worked overtime to carefully prepare all the materials required for the bid. 　　Following a comprehensive evaluation by the expert panel, Daqing Petrochemical Machinery Factory stood out among the competing manufacturers thanks to its excellent performance, thorough technical support, and competitive pricing.
