What is the best material used for the coal mill feed opening in China?
I’m keeping an eye on it; I don’t know about this either. But in the past, during actual operation, leaks could often be found at the material discharge opening, and they were usually small holes.
It’s not necessary to do this; using high-quality materials is costly. There are generally a few approaches: 1. Thicken the components by using thick-walled pipes, which increases their lifespan. The downside is that wear still occurs, requiring regular replacement. 2. Create storage hoppers at the worn areas to allow coal to accumulate there intentionally; using coal to counteract coal yields good results. 3. Change the material – without going into further details, one method is quenching and hardening, which can effectively increase the hardness of ordinary carbon steel, yielding excellent results!
Are you referring to the feed chute? Through years of practice, we have found that lined wear-resistant plates perform very well and can last throughout a major maintenance cycle.
Generally, 65Mn is used; adding a ceramic lining to it is sufficient. However, organizations with sufficient funds can opt for tungsten carbide material!
