It should be a stop valve or a ball valve, I guess.:o
Additional note: It should be a needle valve (a type of valve belonging to the ball valve series), with steel balls installed inside the upper and lower valves; when the glass plate is damaged due to an accident, the steel balls automatically seal the gap under the pressure inside the container, preventing the medium contained within from continuing to flow out.
The water level gauge must first be equipped with a needle valve, while gate valves can be installed on the water piping and steam piping.

The pipes on the water side and steam side of the level gauge usually have two valves. The first valve is a globe valve, which is used to isolate the level gauge during operation or during pressure tests. The second valve is what is commonly referred to as a cock; this type of valve opens quickly and is mainly used for flushing the level gauge during operation. As for the \"steel balls\" mentioned on the 3rd floor, they are accessories of the water gauge itself; they serve to provide protection in case the glass tube of the water gauge suddenly breaks, thereby preventing injuries.
