Xingguo Becomes Jiangxi’s First Provincial Fluorine Chemicals Industry Base Author: Lai Guohun, Qiu Risheng Publication Date: 2012-07-31 Report from our newspaper: Recently, the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology awarded Xingguo County the title of Jiangxi’s Fluorine Chemicals Industry Base, which marks it as the province’s first such provincial-level industry base. The upgrade of this base further enhances the status of the fluorine chemical industry in Ganzhou City, and will play a significant role in promoting the development of the fluorine chemical industry in Jiangxi Province. In recent years, Xingguo County has relied on its abundant fluorite resources to develop advanced fluorine chemical processing industries. A fluorine chemical industry cluster led by Sinochem Environmental Protection (Ganzhou) Co., Ltd. has been formed; the level of large-scale and intensive utilization of fluorite resources has continued to improve, the industrial chain has been further extended, and a cluster effect is gradually emerging. In 2011, the fluorine chemical industry base in this county generated main business revenue of 1.53 billion yuan and tax revenues of 99 million yuan, becoming a key pillar industry of the county.
In recent years, Xingguo County in Jiangxi Province has made concerted efforts to develop a fluorine chemical industry zone. To date, a framework of \"one zone and three areas\" has been established, comprising the old industrial zone, the new industrial zone, and the fluorine chemical industry zone. There are four key industries: deep processing of mineral products, new types of building materials, food processing, and machinery manufacturing; as well as three industrial bases for fluorine chemicals, new types of building materials, and machinery manufacturing. In 2011, the fluorine chemical industry base generated main business revenue of 1.53 billion yuan and tax revenues of 99 million yuan, becoming a key pillar industry in the entire county. The Xingguo Fluorine Chemical Industry Base has seen companies such as Sinochem Environmental Protection, Zhongying Mining, Jinying Fluorine Industry, and Dongfang Huayu establish operations there. Among them, the leading company, Sinochem Environmental Protection, has the capacity to produce 70,000 tons of hydrofluoric acid and 30,000 tons of R22 refrigerant per year.
The capacity for anhydrous hydrogen fluoride facilities is at most 50,000 tons; as for Freon 22, there’s no such thing as 30,000 tons – it’s only around 10,000 tons
