May I ask, expert, should the slope of the vent main leading to the torch be directed toward the torch inlet? In other words, it starts from a high point and slopes toward the torch end; that is, the horizontal pipeline at the torch end is at the lowest level, allowing the liquid droplets to flow by gravity to the separation tank. Going further into the flare tube, but generally flares are installed at high points. Isn’t that a very high starting point?
It is certain that the main vent pipe of the flare should slope toward the inlet end of the flare; flare pipes are always placed on the top layer of the pipe rack. The height of the main pipe has nothing to do with the height of the flare, and when it reaches below the flare, it will simply rise upward
OP, you didn’t clarify the issue; It should be the liquid separation tank located in the area facing the flare stack; by following the principle of gradual descent, no cooled liquid droplets will remain inside the flare main pipe.
I might not have explained it clearly. For example, in a hydrogenation unit, a liquid separation tank is placed at the end of the unit’s vent main; thus, the end of the vent main where it exits the unit is at the lowest point, so that the liquid droplets can flow toward the liquid separation tank before moving on to the main ductwork.
