A client in the Middle East plans to install 25 sets of potassium sulfate production equipment, but is facing difficulties with the by-product HCL. The following options are available: 1. Using HCL and phosphate rock to produce light calcium, with the by-product calcium hydroxide being used to produce calcium chloride ; 2.HCL reacts directly with calcium carbonate to produce calcium chloride ; 3. Reaction of HCL gas with acetylene to produce PVC (high investment required) ; 4. Production of chlorosulfonic acid from HCl and sulfuric acid ; 5. HCL and bauxite are used to produce water purifiers. The area is rich in local potassium salts, phosphate ores, and sulfur resources, but lacks other supporting facilities. Hydrochloric acid treatment should be considered an environmentally friendly process; there are no issues in China, as the product can be used locally and sold there. However, it’s more difficult abroad due to insufficient supporting infrastructure.
