Are there any efficient teaching materials? Start by reading the chapter on natural gas processing stations; once you understand the principles, use PROII for calculations, set the units to metric, select the components of natural gas, and choose the R-K correction equation as the thermodynamic model. Draw the process flow: the natural gas mixes with water and then enters a flash tank, where water is separated, causing the natural gas to reach a saturated state. Heat the natural gas using a simple heat exchanger; first assume an exit temperature, then reduce the pressure to the level required for transportation. Enter the composition and flow rate of the natural gas to determine whether hydrates will form at that pressure (make sure to use the tools available in the toolbar). If hydrates form, increase the exit temperature of the heat exchanger until no more hydrates are formed
This problem can be solved as follows: 1. Determine your outlet temperature (usually by back-calculation, ensuring that it is 3–5 degrees higher than the temperature of the hydrates at the gathering station or treatment station in the case of gas transmission, or high enough to reach the temperature at the transfer station or combined facility, so as to keep the back pressure at the wellhead within acceptable limits). This step can be easily carried out using software such as PipePhase; of course, information on the viscosity of the oil, the specific gravity of the gas, the gas-oil ratio, and the water content is also required. 2. The inlet temperature is known; in the absence of throttling, it is the wellhead temperature provided by the oil (gas) production engineering. 3. Parameters such as flow rate, gas-oil ratio, and water content are weighted; for rough empirical calculations, the specific heat of crude oil and natural gas is approximately half that of water. In this way, the power is essentially determined. If valve timing is also taken into account, the gas consumption can be calculated based on the power and the calorific value of natural gas. Creating an Excel spreadsheet can facilitate the above calculation process quite conveniently.
