How to choose a Bentley probe front end and extension cable, and what is their respective function?
The probe model and cable are designed to work together; the length of the extension cable cannot be changed arbitrarily
There are 5M and 9M systems, and the probe preamplifier extension cables must be used in conjunction with them. The extension cable connects the probe to the preamplifier. The preamplifier is essentially an electronic signal processor; it supplies high-frequency power to the probe coil in order to generate a magnetic field, and at the same time it detects the gap between the probe and the metal conductor being tested, producing an output voltage or current signal that varies linearly with that gap.
