(1) Filters should be installed at the inlet of all pumps. The filter should be installed near the equipment to be protected ; (2) The placement of filters shall meet the following requirements: 1) Angle-type T-shaped filters must be installed at locations where the pipeline makes a 90° turn ; 2) The through-type T-filter must be installed on the straight section of the pipe; when installed on a vertical pipe, consideration should be given to facilitating the removal of the filter screen ; When installed in horizontal pipes, the filter screen should be pulled out downward ; 3) When a Y-type filter is installed on a horizontal pipeline, the direction in which the filter screen is pulled out should be downward. (3) The pump inlet filter installed on the standpipe; to reduce the height of the pump inlet valve, a reducer filter can be used ; (4) When a Y-type filter is installed on a vertical pipe with the medium flowing from bottom to top, a backflow type should be selected ; (5) A filter or a removable coupling should be installed on the compressor inlet pipe to allow for the installation of a temporary filter and the cleaning of the pipe before commissioning.
When installing a T-type filter in a horizontal pipe, “the direction of filter screen extraction should be downward”. If there is insufficient space below, it is also acceptable to install it at a downward angle.

The installed height of the fire water filter in use is too low and requires correction. Is it only possible to dig holes in the floor to facilitate filter maintenance? Or should the entire fire water piping be raised in height? Can a filter that is horizontal and in contact with the ground be installed?
