Under what circumstances is it necessary to model elbows in the form of those with flanges? Additionally, I would like to ask the experts here how to input the expansion joint models that come built into the system; I would be extremely grateful for any guidance you could provide!
Does the system come with a expansion joint model? Select the expansion joint, and then enter various parameters depending on whether you choose a regular type or an angular type; for specific parameters, you can refer to the samples provided by the expansion joint manufacturer
If there are flanges on both sides of the elbow, or if it is a rigid structure, choose Flange Type 1 or 2
Are you referring to the situation where a elbow is connected directly to the valve?
It’s also possible to directly connect flanges at both ends of the elbow; in any case, as long as it’s a rigid component, this approach can be used
