Regarding the issue of groove preparation for welding half-tube coils, are there any relevant standards, or in which standard are there requirements for this type of welded structure?
This is how our company does it: a 45° groove is made on the inside of the half-pipe, which is then welded to the equipment body on the outside using a fillet weld. As for the butt weld of the half-pipe itself, there should be nothing special about it.
