During winter, the water mist in Belt Passage 1# is a real headache; it’s very difficult to deal with it. I was wondering if any of you experts have any good suggestions. High humidity is caused by low ambient temperatures; to solve this problem, it is necessary to change the temperature in the corridors by adding heating facilities.
Thank you for your reply. The total length of Belt 1# is 246 meters, with a horizontal section of 90 meters and an inclined section of 156 meters, at an inclination angle of 17 degrees. Currently, in the 156-meter inclined section corridor, high concentrations of hot air occur during winter coke delivery, making it difficult for operators to move around, and the steel structure suffers severe rusting. Due to the occasional appearance of red burns, water needs to be sprayed on the baking table; this also leads to a serious problem of water from the adhesive tape flowing back. It freezes in winter, causing severe slipping of the tape. I’m looking to solve the problems of high heat vapor concentration in winter and water sticking to the tape. 1 Improve the heating facilities in the corridors to raise the temperature. 2 Check that the quenching water time is increased appropriately to reduce the amount of red coke on the coke cooling bed. 3 Increase the drying time after coking removal. 4 After the coking vehicle has finished coking and exits the coking tower, water control is required.
Closely monitor the quenching process on the cooling quenching platform, and use an appropriate amount of water as much as possible. Heating facilities and necessary ventilation systems are installed in the passage corridor.
