What are the advantages and disadvantages of F1 type floating valves? In what situations should they be chosen? ? What are its advantages over other floating valves?
Advantages: Low cost, mature technology, wide range of applications, and greater operational flexibility compared to sieve plates. Disadvantages: The liquid level gradient is large, and its operational flexibility is lower than that of the newer type of guide float valve. In towers with large diameters, the absence of tongue valves together with the use of guide plates can easily lead to flow stagnation zones, thereby reducing the efficiency of the tower trays.

The advantages have been largely mentioned by those who posted earlier; its main strengths lie in its low cost, simple structure, as well as higher efficiency and flexibility compared to ordinary fixed valves and sieve tray towers. However, it has lower flexibility and lower efficiency than guided floating valves. It is widely used and its design is well-established. Yet it has quite a few drawbacks. In modern industrial installations, there are higher demands for flexibility, greater efficiency, and a longer service life, and the F1 valve fails to meet these requirements. Moreover, since the F1 is a circular valve, it can wear out and fall off due to rotation during operation, which is indeed a significant flaw. Beijing Zehua has improved upon the F1 valve by developing the ADV differential floating valve, addressing some of the shortcomings of the F1 type

F1 is now not as good as ADV float valves – it’s an evolution of the times~~
