First of all, thank you all for taking the time out of your busy schedules to manage the forum thoroughly; it’s really appreciated. However, as moderators, we should be aware of our responsibilities. Our task is not to score posts or review them on a daily basis in order to improve management statistics; the core responsibility of moderators is to ensure the healthy and stable development of the forum. Let’s take a look at some of the recent management activities in this section. I would like to ask how many moderators have been involved in the following matters? ? 1. On August 3, I pinned a post to clarify the direction of discussions in this forum. Only zhiyuan1100 expressed support for the rating of this post; no other moderators showed any sign of participation. I want to ask: if within a subreddit, you don’t even read my management posts, ignore them, or respond to them, then what’s the point of any form of management here? http://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-1029058-1-1.html On August 6, the deputy moderator “Litao1314” posted a thread discussing the positioning of the forum section; only zhiyuan1100 and Yihu Xiangming expressed support through ratings, but they did not participate in the discussion. On August 16, I replied to that post by demanding that the moderator of this forum come up with a concrete plan by the end of the month, but to date that post has been ignored and no moderator has taken any action. http://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-1029839-1-4.html On or around August 14, several members posted the same article in multiple threads, and the moderators of this forum failed to take any action regarding this situation (I noticed that several moderators had marked such posts as read during my inspections). On August 14, the deputy moderator posted a reminder; only one moderator rated the Power Center positively, while another moderator replied with “A pot of tea”. Yet this phenomenon continued to occur on a large scale even after two moderators got involved. After I posted a post outlining the guidelines for our forum, posts that did not comply with those guidelines continued to appear on our page, and our forum still assigned ratings and carried out management tasks on such posts. So do my words not count here? Looking at everyone’s management metrics, there are more than 500, and nearly 200 as well – which is certainly not a small number. If I say that you’re not proactive, it would be unfair to everyone, but are you really managing things in a proactive and diligent manner? ? ? Starting from the date this post is published, all moderators of this forum intend to return to their regular status. Please come here by August 31 to explain the reasons. If you feel that our management is too strict and not suitable for you, please apply to leave voluntarily. Those who do not provide this explanation by the 31st will be treated as having resigned automatically.
I agree with the boss’s decision. There are indeed many such problems in our region; the area that actively carries out activities and manages things properly is probably the heat exchanger area, where activities take place every week. The moderators of the other areas are merely managing posts and fail to show enough initiative in driving the development of their respective sections! As a sub-supervision role, it also failed to serve as an effective incentive! It is also important to cultivate the mindset of moderators! An excellent moderator cannot rely solely on management statistics!
I support the boss’s decision; similar problems do exist. I hope that the moderators will take a closer look, think more about their responsibilities and duties, and be more actively involved in managing the forums. Of course, as the deputy editor-in-chief, I also bear great responsibility; I take this opportunity to express my remorse. In the future, I will strengthen the management of the sections. Thank you.
I checked the recent posts in the mechanical equipment forum section. I hope that the moderators will go through posts with no replies and advertising posts in the future, and handle them as soon as possible. I have already dealt with some of these posts; I hope this will serve as a warning.
By agreeing to the decision to expand the edition and actively engaging in the management of the section, the current situation has improved.
The moderator of the Mechanical Equipment section remains in that role, while “A Pot of Aromatic Tea” keeps his moderator position; the other two moderators have been downgraded to regular members.
