Our income isn’t high; the salary for analysts amounts to less than 2,000 yuan after deducting social insurance and housing funds. The status of analysts depends on the proficiency of the process operators. In newly built plants, analysts hold a higher position, as the process operators are not very familiar with many parameters; they rely mainly on analysis data to understand how the system is operating. Once the system stabilizes, operators can accurately assess its performance by monitoring factors such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates, at which point they use analysis data as a reference. Moreover, experienced operators can estimate the process parameters and thus determine what the analysis data should be. Therefore, analysts in older plants have a slightly lower status than those in new plants, but their experience and skills are superior to those in newer plants!
Personally, I think the analysis of Wei Hua is quite excellent – a large proportion of its equipment is imported!
