The gear shaft (diameter 100mm) became pitted due to operational reasons. I would like to ask those experienced experts: how do you repair it? It would be best to have detailed instructions on the repair methods, processing procedures, precautions, etc.?
If it’s just the shaft, using laser welding to add material should be a reliable solution. One of the large units here had shaft sleeves with very deep grooves formed due to wear, and this method was used to fix that issue. According to the manufacturer, the temperature used is not high, so it won’t cause any deformation in the shaft
