The construction of a project at Shanxi Mengxian Chemical Co., Ltd. to produce 360,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 520,000 tons of urea was recently launched in Wenchiping, Niucun Town, Mengxian County, Yangquan City, Shanxi Province. This project is a key industrial development project in Shanxi Province and one of the projects agreed upon at the first Coal Expo. It is planned to produce 360,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 520,000 tons of urea, and 60,000 tons of methanol per year, with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. The project is constructed in two phases; the first phase requires an investment of 740 million yuan and has a construction period of two years. (China Fertilizer Information)
It should be 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia. I’m not sure what process is being used; how is it operating currently?
With an annual production of 360,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 520,000 tons of urea, and 60,000 tons of methanol, the total investment is only 1.5 billion yuan? That can’t be right; what raw materials are being used? Or: Use two sets of gasifiers to produce 180,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, then use that to produce 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia from which 520,000 tons of urea can be manufactured, with the excess raw gas used to produce 60,000 tons of methanol? Only in this way can the total investment amount to 1.5 billion yuan. This post was last edited by Tianrun Fertilizer-Hou on 2007-11-19 at 14:55.]
This post was last edited by Xieshui on 2010-4-25 at 20:16. It’s a post from four years ago; does anyone know if the ammonia/sulfuric acid urea production facility in Meng County has started operating? What technology is used there, and how is its performance?
I believe everyone is curious about this facility: was it built from scratch, or was it constructed on top of an existing facility (by making use of existing public resources)? There must be some friends in the forum who know the answer; could they please share it with us?
I also pay attention to this issue. . .
What is the current progress of this project? Are there any latest updates? Study every day*, keep making progress!
It’s so small, yet it still has to be worn. Encourage **banning such speculative practices, you little nitrogen fertilizer!
The friend upstairs, it’s not really that small anymore; that’s why everyone is paying attention to it. It can produce 1,000 tons of ammonia per day and 1,740 tons of urea per day. Of course, it’s smaller compared to plants that can produce 2,000–3,000 tons of urea per day, but what’s important is the energy consumption level, as that determines its competitiveness. I’m not sure what type of gas processing system this plant uses.
1# hu*angji is very happy, but there is an excessive surplus of urea in the domestic market
Does anyone know anything about the 520,000-ton urea production facility in Meng County, Shanxi? Everyone is paying close attention to it.
