Out of the 10 trend blocks in my Yokogawa CS3000 R3.08 DCS system, historical data is no longer being recorded for 9 of them. One of them is for the 1-second trend, with complete recording. There are 9 1-minute trend blocks; no recent historical trends are available, with the latest record dating back to June 11th. We performed an offline installation once during the major overhaul in June. This is the first time I have encountered this phenomenon, so I earnestly ask those who are aware of it to offer their guidance and help! Thank you.

:I’ve encountered this kind of problem too. . It is usually done when creating custom combinations in trend pens. New trend blocks of my own appear (more than the default eight blocks). The solution is to initialize each trend point in each trend block. In fact, the trend hasn’t been lost in the computer. It’s just that the position of the trend is occupied by the trend of the custom combination. No better solution has been found yet
After nearly half a month of experimentation, I changed the data collection interval from 1 minute to 10 seconds, and I’ve already seen results; I’m quite pleased with myself: lol. It seems that changing it from 1 second to 1 minute hasn’t yielded any results yet – I’ll have to wait a few days to see anything, and I’m looking forward to it! The results are visible now; by adjusting the sampling period for each trend block, all of the trend blocks can be recorded again. Thank you again to all the teachers who have helped me!
Initialize? ? ? How exactly is it done? Like what was said upstairs, should we change the downsampling time?
It’s not about modifying the sampling time; rather, you need to open the first trend group, click on the “PEN ASSIGNMENT” icon. In the window that appears, there is an “INITIALIZE” button in the lower right corner – just click on it to initialize it. Since process engineers will compare different parameter combinations based on the process conditions, this will disrupt the original combinations. Instrument operators may also be confused by this phenomenon when monitoring trends, thinking that there is a problem with the equipment; therefore, this point needs to be taken into consideration as well.

Check if the hard drive is full, and also go to the configuration settings to see; the format selected at that time was TREND FORMAT, so check the continuous and rotary type options
Thank you for your valuable advice. The hard drive is not full, and a bad sector scan was performed – no problems found! I tried changing the collection interval, and it worked; I plan to try changing the storage path when this phenomenon occurs again. :lol
