Colleagues: How do you keep the temperature of those small-diameter steam pipes with diameters of DN25 and DN32 in your units under control? Thank you!
Choose the appropriate insulation method depending on the needs; if there is no special requirement, a standard one will suffice – rock wool combined with galvanized iron sheeting!
There is no suitable casing for small pipes; the minimum size for casings is DN50.
Insulation for small-diameter steam pipes can be achieved using asbestos rope + glass cloth. Or asbestos rope + galvanized iron sheet, etc.
Rock wool, expanded perlite, centrifugal glass wool, etc., can be used for insulation, after which a layer of galvanized steel sheet or aluminum plate can be added as a protective layer. Most of the materials mentioned are in the form of pre-made tubular products; if such products are not available on the market, corresponding cotton felt can be used as an alternative. As a last resort, rock wool powder combined with an adhesive commonly known as glass glue can be applied instead.
It needs to be handled on a case-by-case basis, depending on the environment; generally, it is slag wool or rock wool, with galvanized steel sheet on the outside.
