Wastewater storage issue

The pH of the wastewater in my company is 2; it contains large amounts of sodium chloride and small amounts of chloroform. I would like to ask those with experience in this field: what type of tank would be suitable for storing such wastewater? I’ve used ones made of fiberglass and polyethylene before, and neither worked; they corroded and broke down within a month
This post was last edited by cdpulin on 10/09/2012 at 16:24. Is the amount of wastewater high? Use HDPE drums, which are resistant to acids, alkalis, and organic solvents. Polytetrafluoroethylene ones work too.
It depends on the quantity. There are countless possible combinations for the raw materials used in fiberglass, and by specifying the properties of the substances to be stored when giving instructions to the contractors, it should be possible to achieve this! Find a competent and qualified company to manufacture fiberglass containers!

It contains chlorine and is acidic; I agree with the person above that a tank lined with PTFE should be used
There shouldn’t be much of a problem with the fiberglass-reinforced plastic; it’s the formula that’s the issue. Polytetrafluoroethylene is certainly a good material, but its price is too high. If chloroform can be removed, materials such as PE can be used.
