From November 22 to 24, RheinChem, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the German specialty chemicals company Lanxess, attended the 2010 China International Lubricants, Greases and Technical Equipment Exhibition held in Shanghai, where it showcased its technical expertise in additives for high-performance industrial lubricants. Rhein Chemie’s Additin series of high-performance additives is widely used in metalworking fluids, corrosion inhibitors, greases, as well as in gear, turbine, and compressor oils for the hydraulic industry. The company’s production facility and R&D center in Qingdao enable it to supply high-performance additives and customized products to customers in China and the Asia-Pacific region. Rein-related sources say that Qingdao’s R&D center has successfully developed Additin RC 5700, a highly praised water-soluble additive used in metal machining fluids. Rhein Chemie’s lubricant additives can be used in oil mixers to produce industrial oils, metalworking fluids, general lubricants, and greases.
