Salaries in Shanghai are definitely a drag on the average wage level, but I still feel I can make ends meet. I think of myself as someone who doesn’t waste money, but upon calculation, my monthly expenses amount to around 3,000. . There are so many of these feelings. . Sigh, I’d better go home right away. I guess I can save about as much money in half a year as I do in Shanghai. . . :L. . .
Although the person in charge said there would be a salary increase after this period, with an estimated increase of around 1.5%, I calculated that the amount saved each month isn’t enough to cover the cost of buying even one square meter of housing at home. . Damn it. .
How much do you earn per month now? What kind of job do you have? The expenses are 3,000; if you’re not living in the city area, then it should be manageable – not too bad at all
The problem is that I can’t save any money. . . .
Staying in a big city means waiting for an opportunity; first, take care of your health, and seize the opportunity once it presents itself. There’s nothing else to it. If you stay in your hometown, you’re just waiting for death in comfort. That’s about all the choices we ordinary people have; otherwise, it’s up to you to decide what to do
Actually, household expenses aren’t as low as you think, and salaries in small cities aren’t high either
High expenses are incurred in order to earn more. It comes down to the difference between income and expenditure. I wonder where your hometown is? Earn 100 million, spend 30 million, leaving a surplus of 70 million. Expenditures account for 30%. Go back to hometown: earn 40 million, spend 1 million (an extremely low amount). Balance 3000. With 25% spent, which one should be chosen? Perhaps it’s more comfortable back in hometown, with less stress. If you have enough savings, you could choose to return there. But by then you might already be accustomed to the competitive environment in Shanghai, living on a salary of 20,000 while spending 8,000, so returning home might not be suitable for you
The working class always feels they don’t have enough money to spend. Even though they earn more, their expenses keep rising as well, and possibly at an even faster pace!
Use as much money as you can, and use less if necessary. If you have no money, just drink plain water for now. In fact, life is quite difficult for everyone these days; the main issues are stress and uncertainty about the future – you don’t know where you’ll be next year after what happens this year
The more flowers you grow, the more you earn – it’s better than having no money to spend!
