Thermocouple failure

The process reaction temperature display showed abnormal values; when looking at the curve on the control panel, the normal temperature curve was suddenly interrupted. By going to the cabinet to check the system circuits, the corresponding temperature safety gate was found, and its fault light was blinking. The output voltage of the safety gate was measured to be 18V, which is normal. After disconnecting the wires at the field end and shorting them together, the fault light stopped blinking, and the control panel displayed the room temperature, indicating that there was an open circuit in the field. Upon inspection of the wiring box, no abnormalities were found. After replacing the thermocouple with a spare part, the readings inside the room became normal again.
It must be that the component of the thermocouple is damaged; just replace it with a new one
The temperature cannot change suddenly; if it does, the thermocouple usually gets damaged
Damage to the compensation wire can also cause the above issue; simply replace the compensation wire!
