What are the advantages and disadvantages of not equipping an air compressor with an outlet valve, especially regarding whether the unit needs to be shut down in order to replace the blind flange during the initial purging of the air separation unit? . . . . . . . .
Our air compressors do not have an outlet valve; only a check valve is present. Replacing the blind flange requires shutting down the machine; it can also be done by uninstalling the air compressor and opening all the vent valves.
Advantages: Easy maintenance and safe； Disadvantage: After installation, the system experiences high resistance, resulting in increased energy consumption ；
Since multiple compressors are not connected in parallel, this valve is useless. It can be left unset. If multiple devices are designed to be connected to the grid, it must be installed. Its main function is to remove the compressor in question and prevent backflow of gas in the system. (For reference)
The air compressor is shut down and the relief valve is fully open; however, there is still a pressure of 15 kPa in the air cooling tower.
