THIS VALVE IN VCM FEED LINE IS TO BE AT PIPING RUN HIGH POINT WITH NO LUTES IN THE PIPING BOTH SIDES OF THE VALVE. The key is how to translate \"NO LUTES\"
This type of valve is installed on the vinyl chloride feed pipeline to keep the pipes on both sides of the valve clean under optimal pipeline transportation conditions. Not sure if it’s accurate; just consider NO LUTES as meaning clean. . .
Okay. . . I was wrong. . . PIPING RUN HIGH POINT refers to the highest point of the pipe section. . .
The valve is installed at the high point of the pipeline to prevent impurities from accumulating at the valve’s inlet/outlet.
It is the feed line for vinyl chloride; the valve is installed at a higher position to prevent the monomer from polymerizing on the valve, thereby forming a resinous paste (similar to sealant, which is very sticky) that could affect the valve’s operation and flow capacity. By the way, I’d like to ask the original poster: what type of valve is being referred to here? Just out of curiosity.
It is a on/off valve; NO LUTES means to keep it clean? No monomer self-polymerization?
