What are the differences between crushers and breakers?

When it comes to crushers and breakers, some people might think they are not the same type of machine, although in fact they can be considered the same. Both crushers and breakers belong to the category of equipment used for crushing, but crushers produce particles that are smaller and finer than those produced by breakers. Crushers can be used to crush materials such as traditional Chinese medicines, spices, food, straw, and wood; whereas breakers designed for crushing stones can also be used to crush coal, grains, plastic, refractory materials, and more. In other words, anything with a certain degree of hardness can be broken (except for flammable and explosive materials). Based on the differences in crushed output, they can be classified as large, medium, and small. Based on the difference in feed size, it can be divided into primary crushing and secondary crushing. Based on their different working principles, they can be classified into jaw type, impact type, hammer type, composite type, double-roll type, ring hammer type, cone type, impact-driven type, and toothed roll type.
