Luo Yufeng will declare that she has fallen in love with Mo Yan; South Korea will claim that Mo Yan has Korean ancestry and try to find some evidence to support this claim. Arkson will assert that he has found conclusive proof that Mo Yan had someone write his works on his behalf, but say that he won’t reveal it unless necessary. Chen Luyu from Phoenix TV will arrange an interview as soon as possible titled “Mo Yan’s Path to the Nobel Prize.” Democratic and patriotic individuals will keep asking whether any other Chinese people have won the Nobel Prize. The Chinese Writers Association will hold a meeting to discuss how to view the Nobel Prize within the framework of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The local authorities in Mo Yan’s hometown will promote his achievements extensively, and congratulatory banners may be hung at his former elementary school. Journalists might conduct surveys on the streets asking, “Do you know Mo Yan?” Possible responses could be, “Who is Mo Yan?” My last name isn’t Mo. Should we not talk about state affairs? Are these quotes from Mo Xiaobei (a character from The Legend of the Condor Heroes)? ……
A banner was hung at the maternity hospital in Mo Yan’s hometown to congratulate our hospital on the Nobel Prize in Literature awarded to Mo Yan.
Regarding the points mentioned by the original poster, 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8 are very likely to occur. ;P
I never thought I would actually win a prize! !
2, 4, 7, and 8 are highly likely to occur! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
All Chinese people who have won the Nobel Prize cannot be mentioned
The original poster is so talented; most of their predictions come true.
There’s also 1) it’s possible that a statue of Mo Yan will be erected in the city center; 2) many Xinhua Bookstores will display similar banners that might read “Special section for Mo Yan’s novels, winner of the 2012 Nobel Prize in Literature – act quickly if you want to purchase them”; 3) Mo Yan’s language teacher (it’s not clear what grade level he teaches in) might write an article stating that Mo Yan had a talent for literature from a young age, providing several examples to support this claim; 4) some tabloids might publish “scandalous news about Mo Yan”. Just as Mo Yan’s first wife spoke out in New York about his affairs, there might also be an article featuring some “talented love letters”. Please feel free to add more details to this list, everyone
Regarding that item number 2 you mentioned, our Xinhua Bookstore has already taken care of it, haha. Man, that’s awesome. So forward-thinking! !
