If the amount is small, it can be slowly added to water and then neutralized with sodium carbonate.
The quantity is quite large, at 800 kg in total. After looking up information online, it was found that the substance should be diluted with a solvent, and then an aqueous solution of sodium bicarbonate should be added slowly at low temperature to quench it. I plan to start by using 60 Kg, diluting it with dichloromethane, and then quenching it with liquid alkali at low temperature.
Why destroy it? It seems pretty expensive; it’s over 8,000 per ton.
