On the flow diagrams for both high-pressure and low-pressure water, the control valves are installed on the auxiliary lines. However, due to space constraints during piping, the control valves end up being installed on the main lines. What is the difference between controlling things this way and having them installed on the auxiliary lines?
I don’t think there’s any difference; whether it’s installed in the main line or the auxiliary line, the temperature is controlled by adjusting the flow rate of the heating water through the heat exchanger.
It should be the same in all cases. I’m not sure whether the diameter of the main and auxiliary pipes used by the poster is identical; when installing control valves, it is important to take into account the matching of their diameters with those of the process pipes, as well as the distance between the straight sections before and after the valve.
As long as the diameter difference is not significant, it works the same whether it’s installed there or elsewhere.
There is definitely a difference: the water flowing into the condenser encounters more resistance than the water flowing through the bypass line, so its efficiency is not as good as that of the water going through the bypass line. In our case, we have installations for both the main line and the bypass line.
