Running into a tricky system power-off issue?

The system needs to be debugged now, so temporary power has been connected, but it’s unstable; sometimes it’s necessary to turn off the power to the system. When turning the power on, one goes from the main switch to the branch switches, but when turning the power off, they say that it’s sufficient to simply turn off a few of the main switches – there’s no need to turn off the branch switches. Some suggest turning off the power at the branch switches first and then the main switch. What is the proper way to turn off the power so as not to cause any damage to the system?

Power supply connection order: Close the switch on the power supply side first, then close the switch on the output side of the power supply. Power shutdown sequence: First, turn off the switch on the load side, then turn off the switch on the power supply side. The main purpose of this sequence of operations is to prevent the switch from being closed or opened under load, which is a basic safety rule for switching operations.
