How to use PML language commands to delete the last two characters of a string, where those two characters change within the program. I need experts to give some advice!
It’s not very clear; if there is a separator in between, use PART (’PIPE45/B9’, 2, ’/’)
!NEWSTR = SUBSTRING ( !STR , 1 , LENGTH(!STR) -2)
There is no separator, and the last three digits are all variable. It’s hard to determine the last two digits; I’m a beginner and not yet familiar with these commands.
Haha, thanks so much; you’ve been a great help. I’ll try this command first to create the program; I’ll work extra hours tomorrow and run it on the model then. Please feel free to give me your advice when there are problems.
