What materials are suitable for the pipelines, equipment, and pumps in the lean liquid regeneration unit?
Our equipment now uses stainless steel pumps and valves. In short, the corrosion is quite severe. Reboilers and heat exchangers are prone to corrosion and perforation. It is best to choose materials of a higher grade.
May I ask whether your acidic water lines and rich/poor flow lines are made of carbon steel or stainless steel?
We used to use all carbon steel. It was later found that the impeller was severely corroded, and the inlet and outlet valves were also corroded; the valves could not be closed properly, resulting in significant leakage. The materials of the pumps and valves were upgraded to stainless steel. Another 4 valves were replaced in October. (For valves related to the rich and lean fluids, it is common to encounter a situation where they cannot be closed completely, resulting in leaks.) The pipelines used for the rich and lean fluids are still made of carbon steel.
