International urea prices declined slightly on a stable basis. October 30, 2012, 08:52 – China Fertilizer Network (Wu Ning). Last week, international urea prices saw a slight decline while remaining relatively stable. Bulk small-particle urea: FOB Uzhhorod price of $395–402 per ton (the same applies below), a decrease of $10–12 ； Baltic Sea: $390–$395, down $15 ； The price in the Arabian Gulf is between $400 and $410, remaining stable ； China: $380–$382, down $1 ； The CIF price in Brazil is $425–$427, with an increase of $1 for the lower-end products and a decrease of $2 for the higher-end products. Bulk large-grain urea: $410–$432 in the Arabian Gulf, down $7 for high-end grades ； Iran: $380–$385, stable ； The CIF price in Southeast Asia remains stable at $430–$435.
Looking at the urea production facilities in China, capacities of 520,000 and 800,000 tons are not sufficient to meet demand. Some companies are currently exploring technologies that allow for a production capacity of 4,000 tons per day. If all the projects under development are brought online, what will be the prices of urea both domestically and internationally?
