Hello, everyone! During the startup of the hydrochloric acid distillation column, when should the pump for transferring the dilute acid at the bottom of the column be started, and what precautions should be taken during its operation?
Once the set pressure and temperature are reached and the liquid level is sufficient, the system can be started up.
Our dilute acid returns to the wash tower to continue absorbing hydrogen chloride.
The treated dilute acid must be cooled down first (low temperatures facilitate the absorption of HCl), after which it is collected in fiberglass storage tanks. It is then pumped to the purification system using a dilute acid pump; the timing of starting this pump can be determined based on the liquid level in the storage tanks.
Haiyou, we have arranged for the dilute acid at the bottom of the tower to flow directly to the dilute acid purification tank via a dilute acid pump after being cooled. So, when should we start the pump during operation? What should I do if I can’t apply pressure?

We don’t have dilute acid pumps at the bottom of the tower; the acid flows directly to the oleic acid storage tank due to the difference in pressure, and then is pumped to the dilute acid tank in the washing tower.
Does this pump have a circulation with the distillation column? Without circulation, it is necessary to wait until the liquid level exceeds the set value before starting; but with circulation, operation can begin as long as there is liquid at the bottom of the tower, and circulation takes place first.
