Questions about GMAW welding

Currently, GMAW welding has quite significant limitations; for example, it cannot be used in the petrochemical industry. I would like to hear everyone’s opinions on this!
In my opinion, when it comes to welding wires, it’s not possible to dry them, which results in a high water content; this can lead to hydrogen-related hazards. Moreover, their penetration depth is low and their strength is not high. Although they offer higher efficiency, they are not suitable for use in pressure vessels. The heat exchangers we manufacture involve mainly corner welding between the tube sheet and the shell, as well as welding of other structural components!
Why isn’t anyone paying attention?!
It is recommended to study welding books carefully; the fillet welding of tube sheets and shells is crucial in heat exchangers, and only PT or MT testing can be used for inspection, so extra attention must be paid to this. Currently, FCAW is gradually being permitted for use on pressure vessels, and it’s not the case that GMAW wires cannot be dried.
