Which parameters are adjusted for vortex flowmeter calibration?
Dear Haiyou, there are certain requirements for the calibration of vortex flowmeters; in other words, users cannot carry out adjustments (calibrations) without the appropriate flow measurement equipment. However, the user can adjust and set some basic parameters of the vortex flowmeter, such as its range and zero point. It can also be installed in pipes; in the absence of gas flow, it allows determination of whether the zero position is stable, while the presence of fluid flow enables detection of whether a signal is being generated.
Vortex flowmeters are calculated and selected based on the medium parameters and operating conditions specified in the instrument specification sheet provided by the user. After leaving the factory, the measurement parameters built into a vortex flowmeter generally cannot be modified. Users can only modify certain parameters that allow for changes, such as the range within a specified limit, the range to which the output signal corresponds, the unit of measurement for pulse output, and status outputs. The calibration of the vortex flow meter itself is carried out through factory testing and adjustment using water (for measuring liquids) or air (for measuring gases), while for the measurement of steam, settings are made based on the manufacturer’s internal data and parameters. Users can perform on-site calibration of the flow meter using actual media, or make fine adjustments through the flow coefficient; however, they cannot modify the built-in measurement parameters at will.
How can a vortex flow meter be calibrated when its measurement is inaccurate? Will a vortex flow meter used to measure steam flow provide accurate measurements automatically, as the steam pressure varies (within 0.1 MPa)?
