We mainly use it in exhaust pipelines. The exhaust pressure is generally 0.25 MPa, with a range of 0.196–0.49 MPa. The rated temperature is 204 degrees, and the maximum temperature is 239 degrees. The pipe diameter is DN426mm with a wall thickness of 10mm; the maximum exhaust volume is 65–70 T/H. Could someone experienced advise me on what type of flow meter would be both inexpensive and suitable for use in this case?
A vortex flow meter will do; however, an ABB model will work as well
For common applications, in large-diameter cases, options include orifice plates, balanced orifice plates, Anubas, etc.; for small-diameter cases, vortex flow meters are mostly used.

The most economical and cost-effective option is a orifice plate plus differential pressure transmitter; temperature and pressure compensation can be added if mass flow rate needs to be measured. Moreover, the maintenance costs in the later stages are much lower; I do not recommend products such as Aonuba or insert-type vortex flow meters. If pressure loss is a concern, then use a venturi tube as the throttling element.
Many people use vortex flowmeters, and they are quite useful.
The steam pipe diameter is DN426 mm; it’s a bit tricky to choose a flow meter for such a large diameter. . . . . .

What is the steam discharged for? If there are no requirements regarding pressure drop, an orifice plate will suffice
