Gentlemen, our company encountered a problem during this special inspection of the equipment. The management stated that the waste heat boilers in the sulfur recovery unit should be treated in the same way as gas steam boilers; specifically, the safety valves installed on these waste heat boilers are ordinary high-temperature resistant safety valves, rather than the pilot-operated safety valves used in gas steam boilers. Could some expert please help clarify this? 1. Does a waste heat boiler actually belong to the category of gas steam boilers? 2. What type of safety valve should be used for waste heat boilers?
