Our gas tanks have been in use for 5 years now, and we’re planning to dispose of them; what are everyone’s suggestions? Learn* it a bit, thank you
The bell cover of the gas holder needs to be thoroughly rust removed, followed by the application of resin and an outer topcoat. I’ve forgotten the specific resin grade; you can consult the fiberglass equipment manufacturer.
It has to be repainted in five years? Your quality control for corrosion prevention wasn’t strict enough back then. Corrosion prevention relies on rust removal; the three gas tanks we built in 2007 were treated with sandblasting for rust removal, and they are still in good condition to this day
Thoroughly clean the resin buildup at the bottom of the sink; sandblast the bell jar and the sink to remove rust, and apply anti-corrosion paint.
The gas holder needs anti-corrosion coating, which requires shutting down the plant. Before applying the anti-corrosion coating, it is necessary to clean and purge the surface, removing all visible water; the surface must also not be damp.
It is also important to check the guide rails and wheels.
