Selection of instruments for extreme low temperatures

Recently, I was involved in a project that involved testing media at extremely low temperatures (around -200 degrees). The types of instruments used were pressure, temperature, level, flow rate, and control valves. At extremely low temperatures, it is estimated that all local indicating instruments (PG, GT, FG, LG) will become unusable; if local indication is indeed necessary, signals must be sent from the control room to the local digital displays. I would appreciate any insights you all have regarding the selection of instruments for extreme low temperatures, as well as any existing guidelines; please share them. Thank you!

What was said on the 2nd floor makes a lot of sense. In general, low temperatures are rarely measured directly; for example, the temperature in the cryogenic tanks used in air separation units is well below zero degrees. The pressures measured at those locations are usually transmitted outside the cryogenic tanks to be measured at normal temperatures. The control valves inside the cryogenic tanks are designed to function at low temperatures. Reputable manufacturers such as Wuxi Tools typically use remote sensing for temperature measurement, with one valve in use and another as a backup – there are no local measurement devices.
