Understanding and Discussion of 7 Welding Methods in API 5L

In API 5L, the following types of welded pipes are specified: SMLS (seamless steel pipes); EW (resistance welding), which is further divided into HFW (high-frequency welded steel pipes) and LFW (low-frequency welded steel pipes); LW (laser welding); CW (continuous welding); SAW (submerged arc welding), which is divided into SAWH (submerged arc spiral welding) and SAWL (submerged arc longitudinal welding). There is also gas metal arc welding, as well as combined welding methods such as COWH and COWL. Could you please advise me on what are the differences between these various types of welded pipes? Advantages and disadvantages, application areas, and cost differences? Thank you!
