RT, what is the side line used for? Where are rotary flow meters generally installed?
Install it in place, and make sure it is vertical! The bypass should be used for maintenance
It can be installed on the ground at the site or on a platform; it must be installed vertically with the fluid flowing from bottom to top, and it is advisable to install a filter in front of it. A bypass line is a route that ensures flow continues in case the main system fails.
What is a side line? In my understanding, it refers to what the manufacturer calls a secondary line. Basically, all instruments that are directly connected to the process pipelines have such secondary lines; their purpose is to ensure that the normal operation of the process is not disrupted during the maintenance or removal of these instruments. Additionally, they are also one of the components that need to be removed in order to perform maintenance and cleaning on the twin-rotor filter.
It works on the same principle as the bypass valves in pipelines: it doesn’t interfere with production needs during repairs and maintenance
