Recently, I encountered a problem during inspections of foreign companies. I would appreciate it if everyone could offer some advice or let me know if you are aware of any solutions. Regarding your company’s wastewater tanks, underground pipelines, underground storage tanks, etc., how do you check whether there are leaks and whether these facilities cause pollution to the soil beneath them? How can one check whether there are leaks at the bottom of a wastewater tank, and whether it has caused contamination to the soil beneath the ground? Underground pipelines can be tested for leaks through pressure tests ; Underground storage tanks can also be tested for pressure resistance. The key question is: how can tanks with civil engineering or reinforced concrete structures be inspected? I’m asking for advice – a pressure test can’t be carried out either, and it’s not possible to see it with the naked eye. What should I do?
I’ve experienced this firsthand~ I’d like to share with the original poster: 1. A way to check for leaks in underground water tanks – drain the tank; if it can remain dry and prevent water from seeping in, then there’s no leak. 2. If epoxy or fiberglass coating has been used and water is leaking, the coating will peel and bulge; you can tap it with a small hammer and listen to the sound. 3. It’s best to place underground pipes in dedicated channels, as this makes it possible to detect any leaks. If the pipes are buried invisibly, then I haven’t come up with any simple solution yet~
From the perspective of the ultimate goal of monitoring, it is possible to collect soil and groundwater from around the pond for sampling and analysis; however, such monitoring is very costly
All of our company’s clients are foreign clients. They will also come for an inspection. But I haven’t asked that in such detail yet.
