One of the criteria for assessing whether one is proactive at work is whether it is the boss who gives orders and presses you to report on progress every day, or whether you are the one who drives the boss to make decisions and give instructions； The pace of the former is controlled by the boss, and both parties suffer as a result ； The latter is in your own hands, and everyone is happy. Most people at the grassroots level are of the former type; as managers, one must do the latter, otherwise they will be relegated back to the grassroots level.

Haha, not necessarily. Everyone in our company keeps pushing the boss to move things forward every day; it’s not because we can all be managers, but because our boss keeps delaying everything!
