By the end of this year, the senior professor in control engineering hired by our institute will be leaving to go home and enjoy his retirement! I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your guidance and support throughout our journey. You will always remain an example for us to follow. Wishing you and your family good health, prosperity, and all the best! The old professor is qualified for his position; he is my mentor’s mentor, in fact. . . Adoration! His generation really had it tough – he worked in design, was involved in construction, and served as a contractor. He was extremely meticulous and careful in his work, full of enthusiasm; he was practically a workaholic! These are all things that we younger generations lack. He is in his 80s, yet he still thinks about the development of self-control, reviews various standards and publication of installation drawings; in his free time he goes to the library to read various professional books. Admiration, sheer admiration! He speaks multiple languages; his Russian is fluent, and his Japanese is also very good. His German and English are average, but he can still manage to say a few words – impressive! As 2012 comes to an end, let’s together wish our seniors a happy New Year! :)
