The flow meter is an E+H 72 model, used for measuring steam; please find the reason.
This type of flow meter often fails to return to zero when there is no flow; I have not encountered the situation you described – could it be that it isn’t set properly? Is the output signal 4-20MA?
When there is flow, check whether the frequency signal output by the sensor is normal; if it is not normal or absent, then there is a fault with the sensor or there is an issue with the output wires. This problem is quite common when vortex flow meters are used for steam measurement. If such an issue exists, then the signal processing section needs to be checked – it is likely that the control board is faulty. As for what was said upstairs about the control system not returning to zero, it is caused by improper installation; there is vibration, and fixing brackets need to be added.

There is flow in the pipeline, but no flow is indicated on the mass flow meter’s display or in the main control system. First, check whether the sensor wires are connected incorrectly, and then verify if the small signal cutoff value is too high.

I think first, you can check whether the connections are good, then use 475 communication to send values to the transmitter and see if there is any change in the readings on the gauge. If there is a corresponding change, it means there’s no problem with the gauge’s module; the issue might lie in the vortex generator, either due to rust or a lack of frequency output. You can use PRM to check for frequency output – if there is one, it means there’s no problem with the vibrating element, and you need to look for other problems
