High-pressure steam generally refers to superheated steam at 9.8 MPa, which is produced by boilers. There are various ways to generate medium-pressure steam, with different pressures and temperatures; these include 4.0 MPa, 3.8 MPa, and 2.5 MPa, among others. Some of this medium-pressure steam is produced by converting high-pressure steam, some through heat exchange in waste heat boilers, and some by extraction from turbines...
